We’re starting the new year off with a very special announcement: the second installment in our Wool People series is all polished up and ready to take flight from the BT Nest!
We were humbled by the response to our first issue’s release in August, and have had a blast putting together a sequel to that collection. The new issue features work from 14 diverse talents from our industry – all of whom have been an honor to collaborate with.
As with our first volume, we shot for a balance of project types and skill levels in hopes of curating a group of patterns that is accessible to a wide range of knitters. We’re also thrilled that our roster of designers spans such an inspiring range: from long-time industry celebs to exciting break-out talent.
It was our first really cold photoshoot of the year, but it’s always worth braving the chill in the name of the pearlescent light that only Winter can deliver. Having woolen knitwear as your subject matter is certainly helpful, and our models were glad for it!
We invite you to sit down with a mug of something warm and flip through the pages of the Look Book to get to know the new collection. You can view it from right within your browser by clicking “Expand” below, or download the PDF version for on-the-go viewing later.
The patterns are all available as digital downloads through our website – with a portion of every pattern sale going directly to the designer for the lifetime of each design.
We thought this was a great way to kick off the beginning of a new year, and hope you find something to keep your fingers contented as we head deeper into Winter.

Ash and Winnowing are definitely going in my queue. Absolutely stunning photography, as usual!
Wow. You have outdone yourselves. My favorite pattern is probably the Fuse Cardigan but there’s not a single one I don’t like in this collection. And as a graphic designer I want to congratulate you on the beautiful presentation, stunning photos, and innovative use of the web that makes it easier for all of us to look, choose, and purchase patterns and yarn. Bravo!
C’est beau!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good surprises in 2012
This book is the best – love the patterns!! The yarns and patterns are so perfectly suited to each other. Thank you!
Beautiful! Inspiring!
Absolutely beautiful – every one! Came here from Liat Knit Freedom site and I’m so glad I did! Your patterns are fabulous! Love your designs, the mock cables, the intricate designs in your work and your photography really fits with your designs! And it’s great to hear that it’s an American product – we need more American products made here, to say the least! I really like your color palette choices in the yarns–very warm and woodsy to me. Couple questions: 1) perhaps I missed it, but I didn’t see a classification for skills needed for your patterns, i.e., easy, easy+, intermediate, expert, etc. Would that be possible? I want to make them all, but knowing whether I’ll actually be able to do it would really help me; and 2) I think your mitten designs might really look great on those ivy style hats for men! What do you think? Might you design some of those?
Love your designs, collections, photographs and website! (Guess that makes me a new fan of yours!)
Beautiful designs in wool people 2! I’m so glad you had the interview with Liat so I could come over and browse. I think these are some of the best designs I’ve seen in a long time and I really wish I could wear wool! Thank you for the great interview with Liat!
Hello from KY! – by way of Liat Knit Freedom! I so admire your designs and photography! The color schemes you chose are glorious to say the least. Just makes my hands itch to knit!!!!! Would love to try your “first” hat pattern.
Liat at KNITFreedom sent me! But, of course, I have been here before to see your beautiful photographs and lovely patterns. Love Wool People! Nice interview with Liat!
Looks like a great collection! I love how you’ve sourced the yarn 100% American. By the way, I’m visiting from knitfreedom.
Be still, my heart…..
I just ran across my Koolhaas pattern, taken straight from the magazine and thought about you, and then, voila! Liat’s interview with you popped up and then I got to see how far you’ve come.
Thank you for pursuing all USA sourced and made…..yay!
This preview is awesome. So many patterns I’d like to make for myself and others if only I had the time….sighs. Truly beautiful pieces!
I found this page through Liat Gat’s link and interview. Forgot to mention that in my last post, I was so in-awed by the beautiful designs

After seeing your interview on knitfreedom I had to checkout the blog. All of the patterns are lovely but Trace really jumps out at me! The only thing is that I’ve never done colorwork before. What resource would you suggest to help me tackle this project?
Beautiful.
