Though the garden is sprouting and Spring has arrived, work for Fall is well underway here in the studio.

I often think of swatches as post-it notes. They help me visualize a larger group of work and remind me of design details or color combinations in a more tangible way than sketches alone can.
Happy Monday to all — hope you had a wonderful weekend! Time to turn our hands to our work…
Wow! Your swatches are gorgeous! Im glad you’ll be knitting trough the summer!
Beautiful! Nice teaser for what to expect in the coming months. Can’t wait to see.
I love the swatches and the preparation already for fall! I really like the idea of hanging the swatches on the wall for inspiration and even decoration. I think I will do something similiar in my working space /craft room.
It is legitimately fall here in New Zealand though.

oh I love the idea of swatches tacked on the walls. think of what you could save on heat! heh.
Mmmmmm… cables… I’m already looking forward to what will come of it.
Gorgeous swatches. Love!
I think of swatches as little pieces of art unto themselves. Thanks for the inspiring image!
Spring is barely starting as you say… that must be pretty strange… Nice display of samples!
i would love to assemble all your swatches into a fun blanket! How lovely that would be.
Still waiting for you to make up your pattern for the lovely new brimmed hat I saw up at Churchmouse you had just finished knitting.
Still waiting for summer, saturday hit 76 near Kelso! (was my birthday so was camping. easter? awoke to rain!)
Swatches are inspiring, aren’t they?
I love to see how you work. Your wall is very inspiring and I look forward to what you come up with. But working so far in advance must take some getting use to!
Can’t wait to see what those swatches grow up to be!
Loverly! I’m inspired vicariously just looking at your work.
Ever thought of auctioning off those lovely swatches? Eventually one could make a unique quilt of them
I am looking forward very much to seeing some swatches of this collection channel into a pattern!
Swatches as post its. A novel idea. I should take a note.
Gorgeous, as ever.

Gorgeous swatches…never thought in spring I’d say I can’t wait until fall…but…wow!
they should be in frames!
I’m considering becoming a swatcher. We all know it’s never been my thing. If something doesn’t particularly need to fit, why swatch? Then I see knitters who swatch just ‘for fun’ to try a new yarn or pattern and I’m inspired.
Years ago, I had a co-worker who stuck post-it notes everywhere. His phone, his monitor, the wall, the doorframe, etc. Your “post-it” swatches are so much more pleasant (and inspiring) to see!
Incredible. You can even make swatching appealing.
I love your artistic posts. So inspiring on many different levels. Thank you
Gorgeousness!! Looooove the swatches
[...] thinking I might make a bunch of swatches and pin them all over a wall and call it art. [...]
What a wonderful idea! I love all the different swatches!
How do I get in contact with makers of the patterns you have displayed , to discuss design concepts for them for commissions ?
